Milescapes and Miles Flint

In the late 1990's Miles Flint, then an executive at Sony felt that he needed to understand more about the internet so bought a domain called Milescapes in order to build a website for 'Miles' Landscapes'.
Miles first started taking pictures at the age of 8 and was given his first 'serious' camera - a Praktica Super TL one leaving school and heading for the Himalayas. He later spent a year in China and witnessed at first hand the early stages of China's emergence from the Cultural Revolution towards the extraordinary transformation that has since taken place. Over the years Miles has often carried a camera though latterly business travel seldom left the time for anything other than a car to the airport and the next meeting in another country or continent. One day, pone day there would be more time for travel and landscape photography - yea, right ! Life is as busy as before but there is occasionally time for the twin passions of photography and sailing. The catalyst was a change of career direction at the end of 2007. I had my first exhibitoon in Falmouth, Cornwall in June 2009 called Sea, Land, Stone with former colleague turned sculptor David Paynter.
It was on trip to Death Valley in November 2009 that the idea came to me that the Milescapes site should now publish editions of photography around a project, trip or theme. These may range from a recent trip such as the Death Valley photos or a retrospective view of China in the 1970's.
Prints can be provided for anyone wishing to acquire one of these images.
Please enjoy the images and if you like them please come back from time to time.
Thanks.
